The Pilgrimage continues (and will follow you) when you come home
Today for the first time I met one of the people I met along the way, Frank. We met when we were both at the end of our journey, in a restaurant in Finisterre, a day before my return to Rome.
I was writing my diary travel, she had just arrived in Finisterre by bus with her boyfriend. So few words exchanged, from table to table. A meeting in its brevity seemed that was worth less than those made to people with whom I shared many days of walking. Still on the Way to the amount of time spent together is still less than in other situations. A phrase uttered by a person who will never see you more in the heart and remains there still, emerging again when you least expect it.
These last few days were strange. Do not hide the fact that he questioned the Way (or rather the effects it has had on me), although a little 'me ashamed. As can be challenging the Way?
But today is a wonderful thing happened, because just as I was putting into question the good that I had this experience, I met Frank again, and talking with her I felt those feelings again along the way, that inner strength I did not know you had. My friend Mark said that the Way gives you everything you need - if you're hungry to find a fruit basket for the pilgrims, if you're down you find a smile - so today I needed to find someone who would make me re-evaluate this again experience that person has arrived.
The Pilgrimage continues (and will follow you) when you get home.
PS Grazie Francesca!
